The Soul of the Boot is the title of this collection of images that capture the culture and essence of life in southern Louisiana. All of these images are on display in a quaint gallery in Thibodaux, Louisiana and can be purchased here. Only twenty-five prints of each image are available.

"I Know I Can"

This image was captured on the railroad tracks of Lafrouche Crossing in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Once I climbed up the incline and onto the tracks it was apparent there was only way to get to the vision - forward.

This image captures the bridge of Lafrouche Crossing in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It exhibits the way over your obstacles and the path beyond them.

I passed by this tree countless times when cruising down Highway 20. It took several visits any many seasons before I was able to effectively capture the moss ....

I chased this pesky egret up and down the bayou in Chackbay, Louisiana. It finally allowed me to capture this image before fleeing once again.

This image was captured from inside of the slave quarters looking out onto the plantation at Laurel Valley, in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

In New Orleans, "The Big Easy" Louisiana, this relentless community does not sweat the small stuff. This image was captured weeks after Hurricane Ida made landfall.
